Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint Review
I have always been obsessed with the "J-Lo" glow and dewy foundations and tinted moisturizers. I knew I had to try out Jouer Luminizing moisture tint once I read the positive reviews online. I love this tinted moisturizer for summer because it is so light and sheer and it makes my face look healthy and glowy.
Here is a swatch of Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint on my arm.
Here it is slightly blended out. My face is nc20 but I'm guessing my inner arm is probably nc10-nc15.
Below is Jouer Luminizing Tint blended thoroughly into my arm. Despite the fact that it is significantly darker than my inner arm it still blends out seamlessly without any harsh lines of demarcation due to its sheer texture and blendability. This means that you'll be able to use this tinted moisturizer even it isn't an exact match; it will blend in beautifully.
Jouer Luminizing Tint
The Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint color I wear is "golden" and I'm a NC20 in MAC. "Golden" looks exactly like its name description. It's a gorgeous golden hue that's on the warm side with yellow undertones. It's a perfect match for my skin tone. I feel like you could probably get away with wearing this shade even if you are a bit darker or paler than myself since the formula is so sheer.
This is a luminizing formula which means that the finish is very dewy and glowy. I wouldn't describe it as glittery or shiny by any means since I don't see any visible shimmer when I look at my skin outside. However, it is noticeably dewier and healthier looking.
Here are photos of me wearing Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint on my face. I only have concealer on my eyes and nowhere else. I love how luminous and healthy this makes my skin look.
The formula is super sheer and very forgiving. Don't expect Jouer Luminizing Tint to cover any acne or severe blemishes. It just evens out skin very lightly but you'll need a concealer if you would like more coverage.
It comes with SPF 20 built in but I personally would not depend on the SPF in any tinted moisturizer to provide an adequate amount of protection as you would need to apply a very liberal amount.
The formula does appear to be quite moisturizing and it doesn't emphasize my flakes or patches of dry skin.
How Does It Compare
The consistency is a lot more sheer and silkier in texture compared with other tinted moisturizers I've tried. Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer is a lot thicker and heavier with more coverage. Nars tinted moisturizer also offers slightly more coverage in my opinion. Joeur Luminizing tint has more "slip" compared to other moisturizers I've tried.
Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint is a high-end tinted moisturizer but still more affordable than Laura Mercier and Nars. I would classify it as mid-range high-end.
Pros & Cons
If you want a glowy finish then you will love this tinted moisturizer. If you are looking for more coverage then you'll probably find it a bit too sheer. Personally I like an ultra-light finish and I feel like this is perfect for lazy days when you still want to look polished without wearing a heavy foundation.
