Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Opal Review [Liquid]

I received a deluxe sample of Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal from Sephora and have been using it for the past six months with a bit left. Needless to say a little goes a long way with this illuminator. It's also available in powder form, which I haven't tried yet. I have a preference for Becca's liquid Skin Perfector's and highlighters since I think they look more natural and dewy. Check out my Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector below.

Below is a swatch of Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal on my arm taken in natural light.

Opal is a gorgeous warm champagne color that is super flattering on my skin. It looks like it has slight golden/warm undertones to me. The shimmer is super fine and refined; it's not glittery or over-the-top. It just makes skin look healthy as if you're glowing from within. I feel like this is the perfect highlighter for daytime when you still want to look glowy but natural.

The color and glow is extremely subtle. I am not sure you can even see it in the photo below but it is noticeable in real life. It's a lot more natural looking compared to powder highlighters which tend to be more dramatic. If you want a noticeable high light with lots of glitz you probably won't like this product.

I generally apply this with my fingertips to my cheekbones, brow bones and cupid's bow. I also like to dab a bit on the inner corner of my eyes in order to make them appear brighter and more awake. Becca Skin Shimmering Perfector can also be mixed with foundation for a more luminous and glowy finish. It's a very versatile highlighter with many uses.

What I'm wearing: Nars Tinted Moisturizer, Nars Luster blush with Becca Opal on my cheekbones.

The formula is super very sheer and lightweight and is extremely blendable. It comes packaged in a pump dispenser.

Becca's Shimering Skin Perfectors are pricey but they are some of the best liquid highlighters you can get. The texture and color selection is amazing plus you get so much product. I can't imagine anyone using up an entire bottle any time soon.

Pros & Cons

I really like the texture and finish of this product. It makes skin look gorgeous and more natural looking compared to powders. The only con is the high price.
