This excellent essential oil for hair has the ability to reduce dandruff, moisturize, prevent split ends and increase hair growth. Coconut oil can be utilized as a primary element in shampoos and conditioners. Below is a recipe for a coconut essential oil for hair leave-in conditioning treatment. 

You'll Need

  • 1 cup coconut oil
  •  2 tbsp aloe vera juice or extract
  • 2 tbsp sunflower seed oil
  • 1 teaspoon glycerin
  • 12 drops lavender oil
  • 8 drops of pure vanilla extract

How To Make It

1. Mix ingredients in a blender

2. Apply to damp hair

3. Let it sit for 20 min and rinse

Almond Oil


Almond oil is one of the lighter nut oils which means it won’t weigh your hair down while giving it a healthy dose of fatty acids, protein, antioxidants and fatty acids.

  • 4 tbsp almond oil
  • 4 drops lavender, mint or rosemary oil

How To Make It

1. Mix together in a heat-safe container with a lid

Cedar Oil

Castor Essential Oil

  • 2 eggs

1. Put avocado and coconut in a blender

2. Soften the coconut oil by heating it if you're whisking

3. Add eggs and honey and blend

Peppermint Oil

Argan essential oil is an excellent source of fatty acids and vitamin E and can be used on both oily and dry scalps.

Massage the oil directly into the scalp and leave it for a few minutes before washing it off. Argan oil can also be applied to damp hair as a treatment. Comb it thoroughly through your hair and don’t apply too much in order to avoid greasy hair.
